Description:
Fujitsu Launchpad, a Tokyo-based venture studio subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, is looking for a senior frontend engineer with React/Next.js/Remix expertise to collaborate with the engineering & product teams.
The role involves developing, testing, and deploying web applications for early stage ventures, working across diverse industries and technologies.
Responsibilities include collaborating with backend developers and product designers to build high-impact applications, taking ownership of end-to-end product delivery, making foundational architectural decisions, and defining technical roadmaps.
The engineer will also identify opportunities to improve engineering practices, onboard and mentor new team members, and contribute to structuring a high-performing engineering team.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in web application development.
Experience in product-focused startups building user-friendly applications from scratch.
Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React.js/Next.js/Angular/Vue ecosystem with higher level UI/UX frameworks like Remix.
Understanding of design systems and component reuse in applications.
Deep API driven development experience with REST and OpenAPI/Swagger.
Experience in writing testable components and applying unit/functional/integrational tests using technologies like Cypress.
Competency across the full software development life cycle, including analyzing product specifications, building, testing, and issue resolution.
Excellent critical thinking capabilities, proactive communication skills, and continuous upskilling in unfamiliar areas.
