Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Canva, you will collaborate with a diverse team of Frontend, Backend, and Machine Learning Engineers to integrate cutting-edge AI technology into the core editing experience.
• Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing solutions for complex Design AI challenges, in coordination with ML engineers, backend engineers, designers, and product managers.
• You will gain in-depth knowledge of Canva's core editor functionality and contribute to the team's product roadmap.
• The role primarily involves building web-based features using TypeScript, but may also require working with other languages and environments.
• You will conduct quantitative and qualitative experiments with the support of a data analyst to enhance user experience.
• Problem-solving skills, a user-centered approach, and strong communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

• Experienced in solving problems in complex and ambiguous domains.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving product engineering goals in the AI/ML space.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.
• Strong foundation in computer science and engineering principles, including asynchronous programming, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.
• Interest or experience in natural language processing, particularly with cutting-edge LLM technology.
• Ability to apply divergent and convergent thinking to solve open-ended problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
