Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Frontend Engineer will be responsible for shipping new platform capabilities and product features for MoveHQ’s suite of products by collaborating on technical designs and leading implementation.
• They will work to improve overall software quality, reliability, and performance by collaborating with the team and stakeholders.
• The role involves ensuring adherence to technical standards, technical operations, and engineering excellence within the team.
• The Senior Engineer will train, coach, and mentor engineers on the team while maintaining high technical and professional standards.
• They will lead the technical implementation to deliver on MoveHQ’s product roadmap and ensure the team meets delivery obligations.
• Collaboration on creating technical designs from product requirements, reviewing technical designs and code, and managing the integration and delivery pipeline are key responsibilities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of web software development expertise in a frontend role with proficiency in Node JS, React, Typescript, GraphQL, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks like React, Angular, or similar.
• Previous experience developing and shipping scalable, reliable, and performant SaaS for businesses and consumers.
• Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in unit, integration, and functional testing, including test automation frameworks like Cypress, Mocha, or Selenium.
• Familiarity with agile environments, frameworks like Scrum, and tools like Jira.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Preferably experience in developing and shipping software to the U.S. government or in highly-regulated spaces.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, asynchronous organization.
