Remote Senior Frontend Engineer - Brand Application - across ANZ

Description:

• The Senior Frontend Engineer will be part of a team redefining how the world experiences design at Canva.
• The role offers flexibility to work from the Sydney campus, Melbourne campus, co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, or remotely.
• Responsibilities include delivering critical front-end services and features to enhance the on-brand experience for Canva users.
• The role will focus on building improved functionality into Canva’s design editor and creative elements like fonts, text, shapes, images, and colors.
• The engineer will collaborate with product designers and founders to drive best practices and improve the user experience for Brand in Canva.
• The position involves identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, participating in design and code reviews, and empowering other engineers within the team.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS) is required.
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks is necessary.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and MobX (or other state management libraries) is essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and provide technical expertise to other teams.
• Participation in design and code reviews and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals are key requirements.
