Remote Senior Frontend Engineer, Chat

Description:

• The Senior Frontend Engineer will be responsible for setting the overall vision for the frontend application and enforcing standards around frontend software development.
• The role involves solving complex issues for large-scale product development with high quality, optimal performance, and enterprise-grade security.
• The candidate will work closely with the product team, graphical designers, backend engineers, and quality assurance team to provide a world-class software platform empowering ClickUp.
• The ideal candidate should understand the challenges of rapid growth startups and be able to express ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in pure full stack roles and understanding the intricacies of building scalable microservices and microfrontends is preferred.
• Responsibilities include building components for the frontend of new ClickUp products, contributing to new UI components for the AI product line, enforcing global architecture for the frontend application, providing technical expertise to other engineering teams, designing and implementing backend services, and participating in architecture councils.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of working experience on large-scale SaaS products.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, SPA Frameworks (e.g., React), and vanilla JavaScript.
• Strong experience in SOA, API best practices, and event-based solutions.
• Knowledge in REST, gRPC, GraphQL, and WebSocket.
• Experience with persistence technologies like relational, NoSQL, and in-memory cache.
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms such as SASS.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
