Remote Senior Frontend Engineer - Content AI - Remote across ANZ

Description:

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Canva, you will collaborate with a diverse team of Frontend, Backend, and Machine Learning Engineers to integrate cutting-edge AI technology into the core editing experience.
• Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing solutions for complex Design AI challenges, in coordination with ML engineers, backend engineers, designers, and product managers.
• You will gain in-depth knowledge of Canva's core editor functionality and contribute to the team's product roadmap.
• The role primarily involves building web-based features using Typescript, but may also require working with other languages and environments.
• You will conduct quantitative and qualitative experiments with the support of a data analyst to enhance user experience.

Requirements:

• Experienced in problem-solving within complex and ambiguous domains.
• Demonstrated success in achieving product engineering objectives in the AI/ML field.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.
• Strong foundation in computer science and engineering principles including asynchronous programming, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.
• Proficiency or keen interest in natural language processing, particularly with cutting-edge LLM technology.
• Ability to approach problem-solving from a user-centered perspective.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills with algorithms.
• Capable of applying divergent and convergent thinking to tackle open-ended challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
