Remote Senior Frontend Engineer - Editing Core - Remote across ANZ

Description:

• The Senior Frontend Engineer will be part of the Editing Core team at Canva, focusing on scaling the core editing building blocks and empowering teams to ship changes efficiently.
• Responsibilities include working on the rendering stack of the Editor, overall architecture of the code, document model, sync, canvas, elements, resource loading, sim-collab, selection, and more.
• The engineer will collaborate with teams across the company to improve and evolve foundational pieces of the Canva Editor.
• They will have the opportunity to own and enhance core packages within the Editor and make improvements to scale to 1 billion users.

Requirements:

• Design, develop, and deploy solutions through hands-on software development, collaborating with leads, designers, and product managers.
• Work primarily on web frontend using TypeScript, but may need to work with other languages and environments.
• Advocate for engineering needs to non-technical team members and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes, and solutions.
• Identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration to drive new insights and improvements.
