Description:

Astronomer is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Software Engineer to work on their Growth initiative, which is a critical component of their expansion strategy.
This role will involve collaborating with high-level leaders across the company and will be pivotal in driving the success of the Astro platform.
The engineer will work closely with the applications team and product team to build an intuitive onboarding and self-service experience, as well as tools for users.
Responsibilities include contributing to the frontend design and implementation of the Astro onboarding process and improving the features used by customers.
The engineer will collaborate within a cross-functional team of Frontend Engineers, API Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to understand user requirements and iterate on features that delight customers.
Continuous evaluation and improvement of the overall user experience is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
Experience in developing consumer-facing applications using modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React, and shared component/design systems is required.
Applicants should have experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
Familiarity with software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation, and debugging, is necessary.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $180,000 to $210,000, based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component.
