Description:
Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) powers major travel portals and is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to help architect, optimize, and scale their platform.
The role involves developing features and defining the foundations for scalable, high-performance travel portals.
The engineer will work on a next-generation lodging, car, and packaging platform, assisting top brands in driving ancillary revenue.
Daily tasks include collaborating with a team of engineers in a low-process environment, driving decisions through documentation, and building new features from UX to database.
The engineer will architect scalable front-end solutions and work directly with PMs and business partners to refine the roadmap.
Collaboration with a diverse group of people is essential, focusing on giving and receiving feedback for growth.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep expertise in React, including functional components, hooks, performance optimizations, server-side rendering, hydration, and advanced state management.
Extensive experience with complex state management tools such as React Context, Redux, or Zustand is required.
Advanced knowledge of CSS, including SCSS, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, animations, and handling browser quirks is necessary.
Proficiency in TypeScript and experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-scale applications is essential.
Experience in optimizing frontend performance through techniques like lazy loading, code-splitting, and caching strategies is required.
A strong understanding of frontend architecture and the ability to design scalable, maintainable systems is necessary.
Familiarity with server-side rendering and static site generation, particularly with Next.js, is preferred.
Experience working with backend APIs (GraphQL, REST) and efficient data-fetching strategies is required.
Familiarity with backend systems and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) is a bonus but not mandatory.
A passion for writing testable code and understanding what to test in front-end applications is essential.
