Description:
The Senior Frontend Engineer will work with Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS), which powers major travel portals globally.
This role involves not just building features but also architecting, optimizing, and scaling high-performance travel portals.
The engineer will contribute to a next-generation lodging, car, and packaging platform, aiding top brands in driving ancillary revenue.
Daily tasks include collaborating with a team of top-tier engineers in a low-process environment, making decisions asynchronously, and shipping features rapidly.
Responsibilities also include architecting scalable front-end solutions, working with product managers and business partners to refine the roadmap, and providing and receiving feedback in a cross-functional team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep expertise in React, including functional components, hooks, performance optimizations, server-side rendering, hydration, and advanced state management.
Extensive experience with complex state management tools such as React Context, Redux, or Zustand is required.
Advanced knowledge of CSS, including SCSS, CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, and animations, is necessary.
Proficiency in TypeScript and experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-scale applications are essential.
Experience in optimizing frontend performance through techniques like lazy loading, code-splitting, and caching strategies is required.
A strong understanding of frontend architecture and the ability to design scalable, maintainable systems is needed.
Familiarity with server-side rendering and static site generation, particularly with Next.js, is preferred.
Experience working with backend APIs (GraphQL, REST) and efficient data-fetching strategies is necessary.
Familiarity with backend systems and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) is a bonus but not mandatory.
A passion for writing testable code and understanding what to test in front-end applications is essential.
