Description:

• The Senior Frontend Engineer will be part of the Presentations & Whiteboards group within the Design Experience team at Canva.
• The group is focused on enhancing the user experience for presentations and whiteboard designs.
• The engineer will collaborate with other teams to work on features that aim to improve storytelling and collaboration.
• The role will involve working on AI/ML integration, interactivity, drawing, and other advanced features.
• Technical skills required include a passion for UX, cross-browser knowledge, problem-solving abilities, experience with design systems, and a focus on performance.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX, and other technologies is beneficial.
• Strong grounding in computer science and engineering fundamentals is necessary.
• People skills needed include cross-team collaboration, mentoring, organizational skills, and excellent written communication.
