Description:
The Senior Frontend Engineer will be part of the team redefining how the world experiences design at Canva.
The role offers flexibility in working location, allowing employees to work from the office, home, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining front-end components to provide insights about the Canva product, collaborating with platform teams, working with product teams to represent their features, and ensuring the quality of Canva improves over time.
The role involves developing tools, working with teams to enhance product quality, and holding reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Required skills include proven experience in software development, expertise in client-side applications, proficiency in Typescript/React/MobX, ability to write performant and reusable code for UI components, interest in developing tools to improve product quality, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have skills include a background in data analytics, experience in data visualizations, full-stack development experience, and stakeholder communication skills.
Requirements:
Proven experience in software development, particularly in client-side applications
Experience developing rich web applications, ideally in Typescript/React/MobX
Ability to write performant, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testing
Interest in developing tools and working with teams to improve the quality of the product as experienced by users
Love to collaborate, gathering requirements across teams and specialties
Good writing and verbal communication skills
Nice to have: Background in data analytics and/or product measurements, experience building data visualizations, experience in full-stack development, experience in stakeholder communication or internal advocacy
