Description:

  • The company parcelLab is seeking a full-time Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Product Engineering team in Munich, Bavaria.
  • The role involves building client-side web applications for pre-checkout, delivery, and returns experiences for over 550 leading brands globally.
  • The position offers the flexibility to work either from the Munich office or remotely within Germany.
  • Responsibilities include enhancing user experience through developing next-generation web applications, leading technical delivery, ensuring high-quality production code, mentoring mid-level engineers, and promoting good engineering practices.
  • The Senior Frontend Engineer will actively participate in technical decision-making, represent the team in discussions impacting the Engineering department, and shape product usability in a user-centric manner.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience in modern front-end development, with additional experience in back-end or full-stack development being a plus.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and tools like ReactJS, TailwindCSS, accessibility, automated testing (E2E/Unit), and TypeScript.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, explain trade-offs of different product and technical decisions, and craft intuitive user interfaces with an agile mindset.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, as the company is growing and evolving, and does not expect candidates to have experience in all required technologies.
