Remote Senior Frontend Engineer (React NextJs) - Octopus by RTG

Description:

• Octopus by RTG is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer specializing in React and Next.js to work on exciting AI projects.
• The role involves architecting and implementing technology solutions using JavaScript, ReactJS, and Next.js.
• Responsibilities include creating secure data flows, implementing Redux, and collaborating with UX/UI, Content, and Delivery teams.
• The engineer will review system requirements, write and maintain unit tests, and refactor code to meet best practices.
• The position requires developing highly responsive user interface components, troubleshooting front-end applications, and monitoring performance.
• Documentation of application changes and updates, as well as creating and maintaining component libraries, is also part of the job.
• The engineer will be expected to teach, mentor, and build capabilities within the software engineering team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, and Next.js is essential.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux is necessary.
• Experience with web services and APIs (HTTP, REST, SOAP) is required.
• Strong mobile and web UI design experience across multi-screen resolutions is needed.
• Candidates should have experience in deploying, debugging, and troubleshooting applications.
• A portfolio showcasing at least four professional, real-world applications is required.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages is essential.
• Familiarity with performance testing frameworks such as Mocha and Jest is preferred.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software is necessary.
• Candidates must demonstrate proactivity and attention to detail.
• The ability to undergo and pass a public trust clearance is required.
• Knowledge of Git and source control practices is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
• A degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is required.
