Description:
The Senior Frontend Engineer will envision, implement, and validate user interfaces that aggregate complex graphical data into comprehensible descriptions of social networks.
Responsibilities include implementing features and user interfaces for Borg products like Hive, architecting efficient and reusable front-end systems, and collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
The role involves identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues, planning and coordinating data modeling and feature releases, and mentoring junior Frontend Engineers.
The company is small, with fewer than 10 employees, allowing for direct interaction with the CEO and CTO, and offers flexible working hours apart from daily calls.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing complex user flows on the web.
Proficiency in JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, and types, is required.
Deep expertise in at least one major frontend framework, preferably Next.JS, is essential.
Experience with HTML/CSS, including layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility, is necessary.
Familiarity with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance is required.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to utilize cloud-native technologies to build a robust, high-availability platform.
A growth mindset is important, with the ability to balance long-term engineering objectives with immediate development needs.
