Description:

Justlife is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Engineering department and contribute to the development of their home services app.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining new features while managing the existing codebase.
Collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders is essential to analyze requirements and develop solutions.
The engineer will deliver high-quality code within set deadlines, ensuring clean and maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, and iterating upon new features, as well as debugging and troubleshooting issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
The position requires developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets.
A solid understanding of Node.js and Express for server-side development is necessary, along with close collaboration with back-end developers for seamless integration.
The engineer will implement SEO best practices to improve web applications’ search engine rankings and stay updated with the latest front-end, SEO, and JavaScript trends and technologies.
The role also involves managing time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment and participating in an on-call rota.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines is required.
Proficiency in Vue.js and Nuxt.js, with a strong portfolio showcasing skills is essential.
A solid understanding of Node.js and Express for server-side development is necessary.
Strong proficiency in NUXT, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SASS is required.
Experience in server-side rendering (SSR) and building progressive web apps (PWAs) is needed.
Proven experience in implementing SEO best practices to enhance website visibility is required.
Experience with performance optimization using tools such as Lighthouse or PageSpeed is necessary.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is necessary.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members are required.
Familiarity with other front-end frameworks and libraries is a plus.
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) is beneficial.
Experience with modern build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm, Vite) is necessary.
A solid understanding of SOLID principles and best coding practices is required.
