Description:
The Senior Frontend Engineer will be part of the team redefining how the world experiences design at Canva.
The role offers the flexibility to work remotely across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities include working closely with designers to create top-notch support experiences, collaborating with various teams to develop holistic product solutions, building efficient front-end systems, participating in design and code reviews, and establishing standard practices for frontend engineering.
The engineer will also create design documentation, empower other team members, and contribute to the growth and improvement of Canva's help experience for millions of users worldwide.
The position involves working in an Agile (Scrum) team and coaching/guiding other engineers.
The User Help Experience group's mission is to empower every user to solve their issues instantly through innovative solutions like Assistant, Chatbot, Help Center, and Support & Self Help Pathways.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have diverse experience in frontend tech stacks and be proficient in TypeScript, React, and MobX.
Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodology is required.
Candidates should have a creative approach to building user experiences and be excited about working with AI technologies.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills are essential, along with the ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
The candidate should be comfortable with rapid growth and change, as Canva is experiencing fast-paced expansion.
