Remote Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue.js/Nuxt.js)

Description:

• Kong is expanding the UI Engineering team and is looking for a highly talented Senior JavaScript (Vue/Nuxt) engineer.
• The role involves creating scalable, robust, responsive, and accessible user interfaces and component packages for applications.
• Responsibilities include taking the Konnect and developer portal application to the next level.
• The engineer will collaborate closely with other frontend engineers and the product team to deliver scalable components and frontend solutions.
• The position requires a strong focus on user experience and attention to detail for pixel perfection.
• The engineer will build UI component systems, collaborate with design, and improve the architecture of the frontend application.
• Writing tests (component, regression, smoke) using Cypress and Vitest with great code coverage is also part of the role.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of professional experience with Vue/Nuxt and TypeScript.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience building SaaS web applications and web developer tools using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
• A deep understanding of UI/UX principles and user/developer experience is essential.
• Candidates should have a working understanding of mono repos and micro-frontends.
• Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions is necessary.
• The ability to design and build features from limited specifications without day-to-day input is required.
• A great understanding of CI/CD and GitHub Actions is needed.
• Candidates must be able to learn new systems and languages quickly and own projects while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
