Remote Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Description:

• Bugcrowd is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join their Engineering team, focusing on building enterprise-ready and secure software systems.
• The role involves working on architectural changes as Bugcrowd aims for FedRAMP compliance.
• Responsibilities include championing front-end efforts by refactoring and building user interfaces for platform features, making informed choices about the front-end tech stack, and improving the platform for internal teams.
• The engineer will collaborate with the product team and stakeholders to provide engineering and UX perspectives, and work with product designers to enhance the Design System for accessibility and standards compliance.
• The position is remote and only open to candidates based in Australia.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5-7+ years of web development experience.
• A strong understanding of modern web front-end architectures and patterns is required.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, specifically with React and Redux, is essential.
• Familiarity with ESBuild and JavaScript test frameworks, particularly Jest with Enzyme, is necessary.
• Experience with Haml and Ruby on Rails is preferred as the team migrates to React frontends.
• A solid understanding of HTML5, web document and app semantics, modern CSS, and Progressive Enhancement web development concepts is required.
• Knowledge of WCAG2 and inclusive design principles, as well as secure development best practices (e.g., OWASP), is important.
• Candidates should understand front-end performance issues in web applications.
