Description:

  • MedScout is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their remote-first engineering team.
  • The role involves understanding customer challenges and contributing significantly to solving them.
  • Responsibilities include implementing complex interactive frontend features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Working closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into effective implementations.
  • Leading the development and design of data visualization features using Nivo Charts.
  • Communicating user feedback and innovative ideas to MedScout product, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Staying updated with emerging frontend technologies and proposing their incorporation into the tech stack.
  • Fostering a culture of high-quality code, design principles, and best practices within the team.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a frontend engineer in a high-functioning software engineering team.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
  • Extensive experience with frontend frameworks like Next.js and React.
  • Proficiency in PWA or React Native with Expo.
  • Familiarity with Material-UI (MUI) and data visualization libraries like Nivo.
  • Deep understanding of consuming APIs and working with backend services.
  • Clear understanding of design principles behind scalable applications.
  • Impressive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience leading team projects and mentoring junior developers.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM/sales enablement software.
  • Background in healthcare/healthtech.
  • Understanding of medical claims and billing practices.
  • Knowledge of Django/Python for unblocking in the API layer.
  • Experience building performant interactions and data visualizations for large datasets.
  • Familiarity with deploying React Native applications to App Store and Google Play.
