Description:
MedScout is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their remote-first engineering team.
The role involves understanding customer challenges and contributing significantly to solving them.
Responsibilities include implementing complex interactive frontend features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
Working closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into effective implementations.
Leading the development and design of data visualization features using Nivo Charts.
Communicating user feedback and innovative ideas to MedScout product, sales, and engineering teams.
Staying updated with emerging frontend technologies and proposing their incorporation into the tech stack.
Fostering a culture of high-quality code, design principles, and best practices within the team.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a frontend engineer in a high-functioning software engineering team.
Strong expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
Extensive experience with frontend frameworks like Next.js and React.
Proficiency in PWA or React Native with Expo.
Familiarity with Material-UI (MUI) and data visualization libraries like Nivo.
Deep understanding of consuming APIs and working with backend services.
Clear understanding of design principles behind scalable applications.
Impressive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience leading team projects and mentoring junior developers.
Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Nice to haves:
Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM/sales enablement software.
Background in healthcare/healthtech.
Understanding of medical claims and billing practices.
Knowledge of Django/Python for unblocking in the API layer.
Experience building performant interactions and data visualizations for large datasets.
Familiarity with deploying React Native applications to App Store and Google Play.
