Description:
Sphinx is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join the Space Communications team in developing a ground communications and data-transport platform for US government-operated satellites.
The role involves leading the development of user-facing services, designing and implementing technology to support the operations of various US Government satellites.
Responsibilities include building performant, secure, and tested web applications with an emphasis on automation and security.
The position requires owning technical problems end-to-end, engaging in self-directed learning of new technologies, and collaborating effectively within a team.
The Senior Frontend Software Engineer will serve as both an individual contributor and a mentor for junior engineers.
Requirements:
3-5+ years of progressive web development experience.
Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and web platform concepts like caching, authentication, and CSP.
Ability to fulfill multiple roles such as web designer, UX designer, and engineer.
Familiarity with various web application architectures and the capability to select the appropriate one based on requirements.
Willingness to acquire additional skills like Python, Docker, and AWS.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and capable of self-directing work.
Demonstrated experience in making informed decisions based on past successes and failures.
Eligibility restricted to US Citizens with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
