Description:

Blue Coding is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to work remotely from Latin America.
The role involves collaborating with a global research organization focused on environmental issues, economic opportunities, and human well-being.
Responsibilities include developing user-facing geospatial applications, data dashboards, and decision support tools to help cities manage urban heat stress.
The developer will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to transform research insights into live applications.
Daily tasks include building rapid prototypes, engaging in architectural decisions, delivering features based on user research, and integrating datasets into the database.
This is a part-time position.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Typescript, Next.js, Javascript, HTML/CSS, and React.
Experience with Javascript testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress is required.
Candidates should have experience in API development using FastAPI or comparable Javascript frameworks.
Experience with GIS web application development and cloud-native geospatial data formats is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Redis) databases is required.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS is essential.
Candidates should have experience in building maintainable software in agile environments and with continuous integration and deployment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
A self-motivated learner with a willingness to take on new challenges is preferred.
An interest in working for a mission-driven environmental organization is important.
