Remote Senior Full Stack Drupal Developer (Part-Time Contract)

• Bounteous is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Senior Full Stack Developer to join their Drupal team.
• This role is responsible for implementing custom Drupal solutions, developing secure modules, and ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, design, and deployment.
• The Senior Developer will collaborate with distributed teams in a remote environment and engage with clients professionally.
• Responsibilities include implementing custom Drupal solutions using Drupal Core, contributed modules, and themes, as well as custom modules and themes.
• The developer will build Drupal sites with a focus on SEO and Accessibility standard practices.
• They will perform Drupal site building and configuration management using the Drupal administration UI, Drush, and other development tools.
• The role involves conducting code updates for security and bugfix releases to Drupal 10 and WordPress, and developing minor features and functionality to existing WordPress installations.
• The developer will implement visual designs from tools like Figma and InVision, leveraging Drupal custom themes, partially decoupled approaches, and headless CMS methods.
• They will utilize version control methodologies and tools such as Git (Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).
• The Senior Developer must demonstrate technical proficiency by accurately documenting code and tailoring messaging to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Active participation in client meetings with a professional and expert demeanor is required.
• A strong understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment, is essential.
• This is a part-time contract engagement of approximately 20 hours per week for about 9 months, beginning early February 2025.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of Drupal experience, with solid knowledge of Drupal 10/11 and Drupal core APIs.
• Proficiency in maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites is required.
• The ideal candidate should be skilled in writing clean, maintainable code and have experience building Drupal sites using core and contributed modules, as well as creating custom modules when needed.
• Expertise in developing custom Drupal themes and modules is necessary.
• Proficiency in HTML5 and current CSS/JS development tools and practices (SASS, Webpack, npm) is required.
• Candidates should be proficient in using source control tools, preferably Git.
• An understanding of Agile development practices and tools is important.
• A strong attention to detail, exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills are essential.
• Candidates must be comfortable working with distributed teams in a remote environment and be able to work independently and self-manage without the need for close oversight.
• The ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, evolving environment is required.
• Understanding of decoupled Drupal concepts, familiarity with Acquia Cloud and/or Acquia Site Factory, and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) are a plus.
• Familiarity with Ajax and using REST APIs, as well as experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB), is also a plus.
• Acquia Developer and/or Acquia Product certifications are advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp graduate, or be self-taught with practical experience.
