Description:

LawnStarter is urgently hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their LATAM-based remote team.
The company is on a mission to become the one-stop shop for all outdoor home services, starting with lawn care.
The platform connects hundreds of thousands of customers with lawn professionals across the U.S.
The role involves building robust, responsive, and scalable web and mobile experiences for customers, pros, and internal teams.
The engineer will work closely with Product and Design to create intuitive UIs and powerful backend systems.
Responsibilities include building features end-to-end, writing high-quality code, collaborating on solutions, scaling the component library, advocating for performance and accessibility, releasing software daily, and mentoring junior engineers.
The tech stack includes React, React Native, TypeScript for the frontend, PHP (Laravel) and Node.js for the backend, and AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform for infrastructure.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building full-stack web applications.
Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript (React, TypeScript) and familiarity with PHP or similar backend frameworks is required.
A deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, MVC patterns, REST, XSS, etc.) is essential.
Comfort with CSS architecture, design systems, and responsive layouts is necessary.
Solid database skills, including SQL and experience with cloud and non-relational databases, are required.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including knowledge of Big O, pointers, and data structures, are expected.
A passion for clean code, testing, and continuous improvement is important.
Clear, friendly communication and a collaborative mindset are essential for this role.
