Description:

  • Calendly is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Engineering team, which focuses on innovation to enhance customer experience.
  • The role involves supporting features and architecture to maintain user confidence in Calendly.
  • The platform is transitioning from a monolith to various services to scale effectively, and the engineer will play a key role in this growth.
  • Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform, and creating tooling and automation for the delivery process.
  • The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Daily tasks include collaborating with the team on high-impact features, contributing to platform scaling, meeting with Product and Design teams, attending agile ceremonies, improving engineering practices, reviewing implementation plans, and mentoring team members.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and microservices is required.
  • Applicants should have experience in transitioning from a monolith to services architecture.
  • Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework is necessary.
  • A strong drive to create clean, reliable, and maintainable code is essential.
  • Candidates must be available for on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside regular hours.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required, as Calendly does not sponsor immigration.
