Description:
Calendly is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Engineering team, which focuses on innovation to enhance customer experience.
The role involves supporting features and architecture to maintain user confidence in Calendly.
The platform is transitioning from a monolith to various services to scale effectively, and the engineer will play a key role in this growth.
Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform, and creating tooling and automation for the delivery process.
The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Daily tasks include collaborating with the team on high-impact features, contributing to platform scaling, meeting with Product and Design teams, attending agile ceremonies, improving engineering practices, reviewing implementation plans, and mentoring team members.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and microservices is required.
Applicants should have experience in transitioning from a monolith to services architecture.
Proficiency in Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework is necessary.
A strong drive to create clean, reliable, and maintainable code is essential.
Candidates must be available for on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside regular hours.
