Description:
Roofr is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team remotely in Canada.
The company is focused on creating a trusted roofing platform to help customers grow intelligently.
The role involves working in a collaborative environment with a Lead product manager, product designer, and other team members.
Responsibilities include building engineering projects that impact customer acquisition, monetization, and retention.
The engineer will collaborate with product and design to prototype new features, write rapid and accessible UI components using React, and set up A/B tests for user experience improvements.
The position requires working in a fast-moving environment, making trade-offs between complexity and speed, and contributing to a small, agile growth team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Javascript, React + Redux, Laravel/PHP, PostgreSQL, scalable environments, and cross-functional collaboration.
Additional qualities include motivation to improve the product, value for testing and documentation, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to communicate trade-offs effectively.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer and 5+ years as a Fullstack engineer.
Strong proficiency in Javascript language & React + Redux framework.
3+ years of experience in Laravel/PHP or other object-oriented backend programming languages.
Proficiency in PostgreSQL or other SQL-based databases.
2+ years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments for rich front-end experiences.
Experience building for experimentation, iteration, and driving metrics.
Ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with marketing teams.
Track record of breaking down complex problems into quick experiments.
Understanding of early-stage company priorities and making trade-offs between goals.
Comfort with ambiguity and scoping solutions with teammates.
