Description:

Alma is seeking a mission-driven Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on backend development to join the Care Finding team.
The role involves building tools and services that assist clients in finding the care they need.
Responsibilities include gaining a deep understanding of client operations and pain points, working across the stack to support complex initiatives, and designing, developing, and implementing maintainable and scalable product features using modern web technologies such as React, Typescript, Python, Django, and MySQL.
The engineer will improve client care search functionalities, enhance provider marketing features, and collaborate with product managers, marketers, data scientists, and designers to build solutions.
The position requires ensuring applications meet Alma's standards for performance, scalability, and security.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 4-6 years of engineering experience with a proven history of working across the stack and building products at scale.
Extensive experience with web technologies is required, with familiarity in one or more common web frameworks.
Understanding of accessibility, security compliance, observability, and monitoring best practices is necessary.
Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests is essential.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, is required.
Candidates should enjoy customer-centered software development and collaborating with a team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
A desire to experiment, iterate, and make data-driven decisions is important.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading medium to large size projects is required.
Candidates must understand how to communicate expectations accurately with stakeholders.
