Remote Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Contract to Hire)

Description:

• As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will collaborate with NGO and academic partners to develop and support EarthRanger, a software solution for Wildlife Conservation.
• You will be involved in designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge products that have a global impact.
• The role requires close collaboration with multiple development teams and external partners to strategize and design solutions to complex problems.
• EarthRanger integrates real-time data from over 100 hardware sensors and provides visibility and analysis of conservation activities across landscapes and seascapes.
• More than 350 conservation organizations currently use EarthRanger, including national parks and species-specific conservation programs.

Requirements:

• You must have 6+ years of software development experience.
• You should be an experienced coder in Python with at least 4 years of experience developing applications and services (Version 3.8 and above).
• Familiarity with React and a desire to learn new technologies is required.
• You must have technical experience in building and deploying SaaS applications at scale using the Django Web Framework and major data storage engines (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB, MySQL, Redis, etc.).
• You should have experience in designing and implementing REST-based APIs.
• Demonstrated expertise in securing applications at all levels, from data at rest to the public interface, is necessary.
• Experience delivering solutions on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure (with a preference for Google Cloud) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is necessary.
• You must possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze quantitatively, and effectively prioritize program deliverables.
• You should demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
