Description:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Papaya, you will contribute to new offerings and core products to enhance user experience, develop new features, and achieve major business goals.
You will tackle challenging technical issues and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders on projects involving frontend and backend development.
Remote engineers from Latin America are encouraged to apply, with a monthly salary ranging between $6,000 and $8,000 USD.
You will work with various languages and technologies such as Javascript, Java, React (Next.js), HTML5, CSS, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Responsibilities include finding innovative solutions to technical problems, participating in code reviews and technical architecture discussions, writing reliable backend and frontend code, and utilizing external APIs in financial technology, banking, and payments.
Collaboration with product teams, agile methodologies, and daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospective meetings are part of the job.

6+ years of experience in FE/BE/Full Stack development.
Proficiency in modern frameworks like Angular/React (strong preference for React), and experience in FE software architecture in significant projects.
Familiarity with NodeJS or Java backend development, writing unit tests, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ideally, experience in building modern cloud services using microservices, familiarity with CI/CD tooling, and great communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Previous experience in a fast-paced FinTech startup is a bonus.
