Remote Senior Full-stack Engineer (Elixir/React)

Description:

The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing modern veterinary software that serves thousands of users in animal hospitals across the globe.
This position involves taking ownership of software projects from scoping to release.
The engineer will work closely with product teammates to plan work and guide conversations about scope and size.
Responsibilities include designing efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions, building software using Elixir, React, and associated technologies.
The role also includes mentoring more junior team members and providing accurate updates on the progress of work.
The engineer will lead collaboration with engineering and QA teammates to deliver quality software in a timely manner.
Researching and solving complex customer issues is also part of the job.
Keeping up-to-date with and leading conversations around industry best practices for design, development, unit testing, and other aspects of software engineering is essential.

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building modern SaaS applications.
A deep knowledge of Elixir for back-end development is required.
Experience using Typescript and React for front-end development is necessary.
Proven experience with relational databases, including using good design patterns and building and tuning efficient queries/data access, is essential.
