Description:

  • The Senior Full Stack Engineer II will be responsible for designing and building RESTful Node APIs, React frontends, and/or React Native mobile apps.
  • They will release working software regularly, following trunk-based development, automated test suites, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • The role involves incorporating cross-functional requirements such as performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security, and accessibility.
  • The engineer will own the delivery of specific features and/or squads, collaborating with other disciplines and departments.
  • They will work towards achieving a shared understanding of user needs, Kooth commercial and operational goals.
  • The position requires keeping up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, engaging with technical communities, and sharing suggestions appropriately.
  • The engineer will participate in creating an empowered, autonomous, and diverse engineering culture.
  • Additionally, they will be part of the out-of-hours on-call response Rota approximately two weeks out of every four months.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript or Typescript is essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • Focus on maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Google Datastore, BigQuery.
  • Understanding of modern architecture patterns and the ability to steer systems design.
  • Emphasis on pragmatic delivery, taking ownership and initiative to balance constraints.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build great colleague relationships across disciplines.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for growing other engineers.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale software projects in a senior role.
