Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer II at Kooth

Description:

The Senior Full Stack Engineer II will be responsible for designing and building RESTful Node APIs, React frontends, and/or React Native mobile apps.
They will release working software regularly, following trunk-based development, automated test suites, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
The role involves incorporating cross-functional requirements such as performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security, and accessibility.
The engineer will own the delivery of specific features and/or squads, collaborating with other disciplines and departments.
They will work towards achieving a shared understanding of user needs, Kooth commercial and operational goals.
The position requires keeping up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, engaging with technical communities, and sharing suggestions appropriately.
The engineer will participate in creating an empowered, autonomous, and diverse engineering culture.
Additionally, they will be part of the out-of-hours on-call response Rota approximately two weeks out of every four months.
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript or Typescript is essential for this role.

Focus on maintainable, well-tested code.
Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Google Datastore, BigQuery.
Understanding of modern architecture patterns and the ability to steer systems design.
Emphasis on pragmatic delivery, taking ownership and initiative to balance constraints.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build great colleague relationships across disciplines.
Experience and enthusiasm for growing other engineers.
Proven experience working on large-scale software projects in a senior role.

The compensation for this position ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 based on experience.
