Remote Senior Full-stack engineer (PHP+JS)

Description:

• The role involves working as a Senior Full-stack Engineer with expertise in PHP and JavaScript to support schools and districts in facilitating communication between families and educators.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with teammates to ship new features, design, code, test, deploy, debug, reduce costs, secure systems, run projects, document challenges, and improve processes.
• Required tasks encompass web development, service and application development, deploying and operating systems at scale, RESTful API development, and familiarity with agile development processes and CI/CD.
• If hired, you will partner with customers and Product Owners, improve platform cost, security, scalability, and maintainability, operate production systems, lead projects, and provide mentorship to other engineers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in web development with large-scale services using PHP and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in service and application development with MySQL/Postgres.
• Knowledge of deploying and operating systems at scale on AWS/Aurora/RDS/SQS.
• Proficient in RESTful API development and incremental, agile development processes, as well as CI/CD.
