Description:
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to drive the technical approach, work breakdown, execution, and delivery of projects in one of our Platform teams.
You will tackle overarching strategic topics, influence the architecture, focus on performance & security, and advocate for best engineering practices.
This is a full-time position, where you can work either remotely in Europe or from our offices in Vienna, Katowice or Sofia.
In the first month, you will get to know your product development team and familiarize yourself with our product, technologies, systems & architecture, processes, and practices.
You will absorb our engineering culture, start coding, and ramp-up quickly within the Adverity universe.
You will get to know the architecture and codebase inside-out.
In the first 6 months, you will support your product development team with deep code reviews, guiding them towards better system quality and engineering practices.
You will participate in shaping new features by getting your hands dirty in PoCs, breaking down technical scopes, and commencing work on team deliveries.
Beyond the first 6 months, you will know the Adverity platform very well, both product and tech.
You will participate in strategic cross-product engineering initiatives and help product development teams make pragmatic technical decisions based on limited context, striving to constantly improve maintainability and reliability.
You will increase your impact beyond your product development team to the whole engineering team and beyond.
Requirements:
You must have fluency in Python and (preferably) the Django framework, with experience managing things in production at a large scale.
You should have thorough knowledge and experience with front-end technologies, like Typescript and preferably React or Vue.js.
You need experience with building and maintaining REST APIs.
You must have the ability to perform deep code reviews, focusing on the bigger picture beyond just correctness and cleanness of code.
Strong soft skills are essential; over-communication should come naturally to you, and you should be a good listener who can advocate, persuade, and negotiate with the team.
A positive attitude towards continuous improvement & learning is required, along with an appetite for continuous learning and knowing when and how to dig deeper.
You should have experience working with cross-functional teams.
A strong customer-centric approach is necessary, prioritizing and empathizing with customer needs to deliver value-added solutions.
It is nice to have experience mentoring and coaching engineers during your career.
Experience with data products and its challenges is also a plus.
Benefits:
You will enjoy flexible working hours and the option for home-office.
There is an internal shares program (EDPP) available.
You will work in an ergonomic workspace with cutting-edge technology.
A budget for job-relevant training is provided.
Free company health coaching is offered.
Regular team events (also remote) and a yearly global team trip are part of the benefits.
The offices are modern and stylish.
Sustainable merchandise is provided for all employees.
You will have the opportunity to participate in Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off).
If this position is filled in Vienna, the minimum gross salary is €60,000; if filled elsewhere, the salary may differ, but competitive salaries are offered based on qualifications and experience.
