Description:

Front is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for their search team, which is focused on enhancing the search experience across their AI-powered customer service platform.
The role involves transforming ideas into features that improve the search experience for thousands of customers.
The engineer will have an impact on all searchable resources at Front and contribute significantly to the organization.
Responsibilities include improving existing algorithm models to increase search accuracy and collaborating closely with researchers, designers, product managers, and other engineers.
The search stack includes in-house managed Elasticsearch clusters, handling 240 TB of production data, serving 750k search queries per day, and processing 200M indexing queries daily.

Requirements:

Candidates must be product-minded and committed to building the best user experience.
A first experience in building highly available, large-scale distributed search systems at a large-scale internet service, such as Elasticsearch, is required.
Knowledge of modern web technologies, including Node.js ES6, React, Redux, and TypeScript, is necessary, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment is essential.
Candidates should understand the trade-offs between different engineering solutions and value pragmatism over idealism.
Bonus skills include rigor in A/B testing, test coverage, and experience working with complex data models at scale.
