Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer (South America)

Description:

• Brightwheel is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer located in Latin America to join their fully remote team.
• The mission of Brightwheel is to enable high-quality early education for every child, positively impacting childhood outcomes and supporting working families.
• The role involves working closely with product and design teams to implement new features, optimize software design, and mitigate technical debt.
• The engineer will operate in an agile environment to deliver value to go-to-market teams and expand understanding of customer needs.
• Responsibilities include ensuring quality, scalability, security, and performance of the platform, designing new software systems, and sharing knowledge across the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be located in Latin America.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience in agile companies or teams is required.
• Experience in backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, or Golang is necessary.
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing APIs is essential.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular is required.
• Experience in writing automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, is expected.
