Description:

  • The position is for a Senior Full-stack PHP Developer to work remotely from Latin America.
  • The developer will work with a foreign client in the automotive parts industry, focusing on E-Commerce, Search & Discovery, Fitment, and vehicle data.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-performing SaaS solutions with complete ownership of projects.
  • The role involves building scalable distributed solutions, developing new features, and ensuring application performance and uptime.
  • The developer will work with agile methodologies, participate in all aspects of software development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Daily tasks include troubleshooting, debugging, optimizing applications, and engaging with designers and engineers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six years of experience in building large-scale PHP software applications is required.
  • Expert knowledge of PHP, Python, and JavaScript (Node.JS, React, Typescript, ES6, Cypress) is essential.
  • Candidates must have expert knowledge of MySQL and the ability to write complex high-performance SQL queries.
  • Experience in building e-commerce websites and payment processing is necessary.
  • Knowledge of fraud mitigation tools and automotive industry standards such as ACES and PIES is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must.
  • Experience in a small team startup environment and familiarity with AWS and cloud computing services is preferred.
  • Candidates should have experience in search technologies, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and building web applications.
  • Knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, large datasets, and messaging queues is also required.
  • Strong debugging, optimization skills, and experience in unit/integration testing are necessary.
