The Product Engineer II role involves designing and implementing features for a live video chat platform, multiplayer game, and modern web app.
Responsibilities include collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to iterate on features and product directions.
The role focuses on enabling powerful tools and innovative remote work features within Gather.
Product Engineers are expected to write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and ensure good architecture.
The position requires excellence in front-end Typescript/React architecture, experience with NodeJS, and a keen intuition for well-designed software.
Candidates should enjoy interacting with customers, be proactive, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements:

Proficiency in front-end Typescript/React architecture and development.
Experience working with NodeJS.
Ability to design well-written code and software.
Comfortable interacting with customers and identifying unique product solutions.
Proactive, fast-moving, and able to balance quality and speed in development.
Intrinsic motivation to solve complex problems independently.
