Remote Senior Full-stack Software Engineer

Description:

• Meilisearch, a company revolutionizing search technology, is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join their Cloud team.
• The Cloud team's mission is to deliver a robust and scalable cloud-hosted search engine solution for clients.
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on front-end features using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript, as well as backend development with technologies like Rails, PostgreSQL, and Heroku.
• Responsibilities include developing and optimizing front-end features, implementing styling with CSS and Tailwind, collaborating on design decisions, writing end-to-end tests using Cypress, conducting code reviews, mentoring team members, and contributing to the technical vision and strategic direction of the product.
• The position is full-time and remote, with the team operating fully remotely and members located in France, Brazil, and Ireland.

Requirements:

• Ability to switch between tasks, experience in remote teamwork, and effective collaboration in a distributed team environment.
• Previous experience in mentoring others with a pragmatic and business-oriented approach to leadership.
• Proficiency in React, including ReactQuery, and experience with CSS.
• Knowledge of Cypress for end-to-end testing and GitHub for version control.
• Strong background in backend technologies, preferably Rails, with experience in PostgreSQL and Heroku.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus.
