The role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in North America.
Responsibilities include designing, improving, and debugging complex, scalable distributed systems.
The engineer will write extensible, scalable, and test-driven code.
Participation in sprint planning and architectural decision-making is expected.
Collaboration with team members on designing scalable, well-tested, and well-documented web architecture, including APIs and backend systems, is required.
Engineers are expected to take responsibility and ownership of projects from start to finish.
Contribution to code reviews and technical spec reviews is part of the role.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience in building highly performant web applications is required.
Knowledge of full-stack technologies such as React, Typescript, Redux, and Ruby on Rails is highly preferred.
Experience in implementing a client-facing project from design to delivery is necessary.
A strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs (GraphQL, gPRC, or REST) and backend processing systems is essential.
Experience in collaborating closely with Product & Design teams to design, implement, and iterate on high-impact end-to-end product experiences is required.
