Description:

Orum is an AI-driven, live conversation platform that enhances sales efficiency and lowers customer acquisition costs for companies of all sizes.
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on backend development (70% backend, 30% frontend) and own critical product features from inception to deployment.
You will collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to create seamless user experiences.
The role involves full-stack feature ownership, end-to-end development, backend optimization, real-time data handling, database management, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will also be responsible for system monitoring, performance tuning, continuous improvement, and providing technical mentorship.
The current technology stack includes NodeJS with Typescript, React, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH.
This position is remote-first and candidates must be based in Canada.
The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $190,000 CAD.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience owning a product or feature through its lifecycle, from discovery to deployment.
A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience is required.
At least 3 years of experience building backend applications with Javascript/Typescript is necessary.
Experience working with an RDBMS using SQL is required.
Familiarity with Unix shell scripting is a must.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in measuring and tuning performance of NodeJS applications, building front ends with React, and cloud infrastructure programming (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines is also desirable.
