Remote Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Kotlin/Java, React, AWS)

Description:

• The position is for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer working remotely from India.
• The company, Wiser Solutions, focuses on in-store and eCommerce intelligence and execution tools.
• The role involves collecting, categorizing, and analyzing semi-structured data from over 10,000 retail stores across the US and Canada weekly.
• The engineer will work on crowdsourcing-based mobile applications and related services to drive the growth of the SaaS platform.
• Responsibilities include impacting customers and users across Australia and Asia, collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and operations teams, and communicating effectively in a fully remote environment.
• The engineer is expected to contribute ideas and experience beyond just writing code.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• A strong coding background in multiple languages, including both backend and frontend technologies, is required.
• Experience in Java/server-side Kotlin and Spring Boot is necessary.
• Proficiency with React and Redux is essential.
• Candidates should have experience with data modeling in both SQL and noSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure as code is required.
• A strong understanding of testing practices and a keen eye for quality is necessary.
• Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of software design, the software development process, and lifecycle, including design patterns, code reviews, and dev-ops.
• An eagerness to learn new tools and technologies is expected.
• A strong team player with experience in a collaborative Agile environment is essential.
• Bonus skills include experience with mobile app development using React Native and Expo.
