Remote Senior Fullstack Developer (Java/React) at Robots & Pencils

Description:

Design, program, and test software while fostering a cohesive team identity
Create and maintain documentation for developers, clients, and users to drive innovation
Develop and refine prototypes to validate requirements
Program based on project plans and seek innovative solutions
Conduct testing as per test plans
Manage release activities and post-release support
Collaborate with designers to develop interfaces following design guidelines
Build mobile APIs and web applications for various clients
Conduct peer code reviews and mentor team members
Provide technical insights to sales and project managers for project planning
Resolve issues creatively and seek innovative solutions
Attend and contribute to code/development meetings
Write and maintain code for internal and external projects
Collaborate with QA team on bug fixes
Develop reusable code and libraries for future use

5+ years of software delivery experience
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Proficiency in React 17 / JavaScript TypeScript
Experience in Java 17 API development (knowledge of Spring Boot and Quarkus a plus)
Advanced SQL skills required
Familiarity with Redis for caching and PostgreSQL
Experience with multiple databases and schemas is advantageous
Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git
Familiarity with testing and behavior-driven development
Understanding of CS concepts such as APIs, services, microservices, data structures, and optimization
GitHub profile or link to open-source work is a bonus
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
