Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Engineer will be responsible for shipping new platform capabilities and product features for MoveHQ’s suite of products by collaborating on technical designs and leading implementation.
• They will work to improve overall software quality, reliability, and performance by collaborating with the team and stakeholders.
• The role involves ensuring adherence to technical standards, technical operations, and engineering excellence within the team.
• The Senior Engineer will train, coach, and mentor engineers on the team while maintaining high technical and professional standards.
• They will lead the technical implementation to deliver on MoveHQ’s product roadmap successfully.
• Collaboration on creating technical designs from product requirements and specifications is a key aspect of the role.
• The Senior Engineer will participate in reviewing technical designs and code to ensure high quality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Involvement in building and managing the integration and delivery pipeline of team-owned applications and code repositories is also part of the role.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of web software development expertise in JavaScript, Ruby, or PHP.
• Experience in developing and shipping scalable, reliable, and performant software-as-a-service (SaaS).
• Experience as a senior technical contributor in a fast-paced, collaborative startup development environment.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases and using ORMs.
• Proficiency in unit, integration, and functional testing, including test automation frameworks like Cypress, Mocha, or Selenium.
• Familiarity with agile environments, frameworks like Scrum, and tools like Jira.
• Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Preferably experience in developing and shipping software to the U.S. government (B2G) or in highly-regulated spaces.
• Experience in training and coaching other software engineers.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, asynchronous organization.
