As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will help build systems to support ClassDojo's rapid growth and work on production code from day one in a pair programming environment.
You will ship new and improved features to end users, write and optimize code for web apps, APIs, databases, and infrastructure, and deliver code to production frequently.
You will collaborate with your team through pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and design sessions.
You will contribute to cross-team technical improvements, support build and delivery pipelines, and participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
You will help improve practices, processes, and teamwork, unblock teammates, and systematically enhance product quality.
You will promote collaboration and psychological safety while being aware of the larger business context of your work.
Requirements:
You must have 10+ years of professional software experience.
You should have delivered impactful user and business outcomes.
You need to have driven technical excellence through improvements to processes, practices, and tools, including experience with test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Strong communication skills are required to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
You should be excited to work in a fast-paced environment and have an ownership mindset, being comfortable with responsibility and accountability.
You must be thoughtful about creating and maintaining a world-class engineering culture and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, and product teams.
Experience in a pair programming environment is essential.
A passion for education and a desire to impact tens of millions of kids' lives through your work is necessary.
You must live and work in the Americas timezones.
Bonus points for experience with Node and/or React at scale, working with MongoDB or MySQL, and having DevOps experience, especially on AWS.
Benefits:
ClassDojo offers a competitive salary based on geographic location, experience, and skillset, with ranges from $171,500 to $244,000 in specific states and $146,000 to $207,500 in all other states in the US.
