Description:

  • Vendelux is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their team in New York City.
  • The company is a Series A SaaS company that provides the system of record for event marketing.
  • Their software platform offers proprietary insights to help high-growth companies identify the highest ROI events, conferences, and trade shows to attend and sponsor.
  • Vendelux has developed an AI-powered platform highly praised by customers as an event marketer's dream.
  • The Senior Fullstack Engineer will be responsible for owning significant user-impacting projects from design to rollout, participating in code and system design reviews, contributing to internal processes and dev tools improvements, understanding user needs, and collaborating with leadership, product management, and design teams for product discovery and prioritization.
  • The Tech Stack includes Typescript, React, MUI for frontend; Python, Django, MySQL, AWS for backend; and Python, Dagster, Snowflake, Fivetran for data.
  • Qualifications for the position include 5+ years of experience in building complex applications, a track record of delivering valuable features, driving infrastructure and process improvements, willingness to take on technical debt and risk when necessary, and strong communication skills, especially in written form.
  • Nice-to-have qualifications include previous startup experience, data engineering or ML experience, and DevOps or platform/infrastructure experience.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building complex applications using a modern language (from Java to Typescript)
  • Track record of shaping and shipping valuable features
  • Track record of driving high-leverage improvements to infrastructure and process
  • Judgment to take on technical debt and risk where appropriate
  • Strong communication skills, especially written
  • Nice-to-have: Previous startup experience
  • Nice-to-have: Data engineering or ML experience (or deep interest)
  • Nice-to-have: DevOps or platform/infrastructure experience (or deep interest)
