Nisum seeks an experienced Senior Full-stack Engineer to lead their development team while also contributing hands-on to the design, development, and deployment of robust web applications.
The role requires working across the full stack, both front-end and back-end, while taking on leadership responsibilities to guide and mentor the development team.
Responsibilities include leading the design and development of scalable web applications, maintaining clean and efficient code, collaborating with UI/UX designers, developing RESTful APIs, and optimizing performance.
The engineer will also lead a team, manage project workflows, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Collaboration with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure alignment on requirements and priorities.
The engineer will drive architectural decisions, identify process improvements, and ensure adherence to secure coding practices.
Staying updated with the latest trends and encouraging team members to grow their technical skills is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must reside in Chile or Colombia.
Advanced English skills are required.
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer is necessary, with a demonstrated ability to work across both front-end and back-end technologies.
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js is essential.
Extensive experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, .NET, Python, Java, or similar is required.
A solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is needed.
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) is expected.
A strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is necessary.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
Previous experience in leading or mentoring a development team is required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and excellent problem-solving skills are also important.
