Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer

Description:

• DaCodes is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a team of experienced engineers migrating large Enterprise SaaS applications from EmberJS to React.
• The migration process aims to improve the UX and functionality of the applications.
• The candidate will work on a small team of fully remote engineers, participating in daily standups, weekly planning, and retrospectives during normal PST working hours.
• Responsibilities include owning individual pages throughout the migration process, reading code, consulting with UX, PM, and other engineers, and migrating code from Ember to React.
• The engineer will utilize existing React components and follow established design patterns while developing and migrating API endpoints as needed.
• The role also involves writing automated tests using React Testing Library and Playwright, collaborating on code reviews, and contributing to process improvements to accelerate the migration process.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience as a full stack or front end software engineer.
• Expert level knowledge of React and Typescript is required.
• Experience writing end-to-end tests with frameworks like Playwright or Cypress is necessary.
• The candidate should be comfortable working in a Ruby on Rails backend and developing and adapting APIs to meet front end needs.
• A strong foundation in software development fundamentals and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical issues is essential.
