Description:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with full-stack experience, particularly in back-end, distributed, API-based, and platform systems.
Ideally, candidates should have a solid understanding of front-end technologies, including React, and have worked in the credit reporting, financial, and/or accounting sectors.
The role involves being responsible for the credit reporting and internal services technical systems and direction.
The engineer will closely work with various product owners and credit reporting specialists to create and own the product and business initiatives and roadmap pertaining to our credit reporting and internal services strategy.
This position requires a high degree of collaboration with senior leadership, key managers, and product owners across the organization.
The engineer will provide product and technical guidance, enabling new products and improving current ones to reach more customers and enhance customer experiences.
The role includes working on next-generation back-end services and a credit reporting engine that will benefit millions of people.
Responsibilities include coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers, as well as recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new talent into the team.
The engineer will ensure efficient delivery through effective planning, setting expectations, prioritizing, and delegating.
The position requires exhibiting and fostering Esusu’s culture and operating principles.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of proven fullstack engineering experience.
A very strong experience in back-end, microservice, API-driven, and data pipelines engineering work is required.
Experience with general-purpose languages like Go and Javascript is essential.
Candidates should have experience with AWS services such as S3, SNS/SQS, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
Strong experience in the credit reporting, accounting, lending, banking, payments, screening companies, insurance, subscriptions, or similar industry is necessary.
Candidates must have strong experience mentoring individual contributors, including back-end engineers.
Experience leading both product and business strategy, as well as planning and roadmap delivery, is required.
Familiarity with database solutions, including Relational and NoSQL data stores, is necessary.
Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures is essential.
Candidates should have experience working in and fostering environments that utilize Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps.
Experience managing globally distributed teams is required.
A passion for delivery in an agile environment is essential.
Candidates must currently be living in Latin America.
