Description:

Oowlish is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a backend focus to join their team in San José, Costa Rica, or remotely.
The role involves collaborating with clients from the United States and Europe to develop innovative digital solutions.
The engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Koa, while also building frontend components with React and TypeScript.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL for database design and optimization, participating in code reviews, and contributing to CI/CD pipeline improvements.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is required.
Extensive experience in building frontends using React is essential.
Deep knowledge of Node.js and backend frameworks, specifically Koa, is necessary.
Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a Linux environment for development and deployment.
Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development is a must.
Familiarity with testing tools and CI/CD pipelines, such as Jest, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI, is expected.
