Description:

The Software Engineering team develops high-quality datasets, operates data pipelines, and builds services and APIs to support server-side application logic.
As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you will contribute to delivering exceptional software for public affairs professionals.
You will utilize a full-stack approach with tools like Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to design and launch new product features.
In your first week, you will ship new code to production.
In your first month, you will write code at several levels of the stack, from infrastructure to the API to the UI.
Within six months, you will take ownership of an entire set of features and make impactful decisions.
By the end of your first year, you will help guide the team in making broad technical decisions affecting the stack and products.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of work experience at a company that primarily produces software for end users.
Professional experience in backend languages such as Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js is required.
You should have experience with relational databases, including writing SQL queries and system tuning for performance.
You must be able to design complex technical systems and write technical design documentation.
A strong desire to mentor others through code review is essential.
You should care deeply about code quality and have the drive to solve real-world problems.
An interest in learning new development languages and platforms is necessary.
You must be a highly-motivated self-starter eager to contribute from day one.
You should be an engaged learner, willing to tackle challenging problems.
A desire to work in a fun environment and contribute to team dynamics is important.
You should be ready to pitch in wherever needed, including recruiting and customer support.
